Oregon Loses to Stanford in OT. Ducks Offense Held in Check by Stanford Defense and Missed Opportunities. The Cardinal hand the Ducks Their First Conference Loss 17-14 in OT.
On a night when the Kansas State lost to Baylor, the Ducks came up on the short end of a physical game vs #13 Stanford. The first half ended in a 7-7 tie, and it took OT for the Cardinal to win it, after Oregon Alajandro Maldanado missed a 41 yard field goal, the ball bounced off the upright, Stanford’s Jordan Williamson won it with a 37 yard fg.
Senior Running Back Kenjon Barner, held in check for the 2nd straight game said Oregon had a lot of missed opportunities.
Next week, Oregon takes on Oregon State in Corvallis in the Civil War – and Stanford plays UCLA – Oregon still has a lot to play for. If UCLA beats Stanford, and Oregon beats Oregon State – The Ducks can still host the Pac 12 Title game, but it may not be for the goal they had in mind.
Next Saturday’s Civil War will be on the Pac 12 Networks at Noon.
